Salzburg is a beautiful city with a rich history and culture. Here's an ideal itinerary for 5 days in Salzburg:

Day 1: Arrival and City Tour

• Arrive in Salzburg and check into your hotel
• Take a walking tour of the city to get your bearings and see the main sights, including the Mirabell Palace and Gardens, Mozart's Birthplace, and the Salzburg Cathedral
