Asheville, North Carolina is a beautiful city with a lot to offer. Here's an ideal itinerary for 3 days in Asheville:
Start your day with a visit to the Biltmore Estate, a stunning mansion built by George Vanderbilt in the late 1800s. You can take a self-guided tour of the house and explore the beautiful gardens and grounds. Afterward, head to downtown Asheville for lunch at one of the many delicious restaurants. I recommend trying the local cuisine, such as barbecue or biscuits and gravy. In the afternoon, take a stroll through the River Arts District, where you can see local artists at work and browse their galleries. End your day with a visit to the Asheville Brewing Company for some craft beer and pizza.
Begin your day with a hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are many trails to choose from, but I recommend the hike to the top of Mount Mitchell, the highest peak east of the Mississippi River. After your hike, head to the nearby town of Black Mountain for lunch and some shopping. Black Mountain is known for its charming downtown area and unique shops. In the evening, catch a show at the Orange Peel, a popular music venue in downtown Asheville.
Start your day with a visit to the North Carolina Arboretum, a beautiful botanical garden with miles of hiking trails. Afterward, head to the nearby town of Brevard for lunch and some sightseeing. Brevard is known for its waterfalls, so be sure to check out some of the nearby falls, such as Looking Glass Falls or Sliding Rock. In the evening, head back to Asheville for dinner at one of the many farm-to-table restaurants, such as Rhubarb or Cúrate. End your night with a visit to the Asheville Pinball Museum, where you can play vintage pinball machines and arcade games.
I hope this itinerary helps you plan your trip to Asheville!
